I am a recent BA (Hons) Film Production graduate of University of Portsmouth (Screen Skills Accredited). I specialised in Scriptwriting; taking relevant modules like Advanced Scriptwriting and Film and Ethics. I was awarded the Barbara Machin Award for Best Script in a Short Film at my official graduation ceremony for my Graduate Film, Punk Mitzvah. I wrote for the university publication, Spyglass Magazine, and was the editor in Chief for my final year of university (2023/2024). As well as fiction writing, I am interested in film analysis and writing about current issues facing our society.

FILMMAKING

My film portfolio includes films I have written and directed during my university course. My recent film is Punk Mitzvah, which I wrote and directed.

PHOTOGRAPHY

In photos are a thousand stories you may never hear, but can indulge through sight. I practice photography on both digital and 35mm film. I edit my digital photos on Adobe Lightroom and tend to go for a surrealistic style when my intuition trusts me to do so. I am interested in experimental, black-and-white and portrait photography.

I’ve been writing on my Substack recently about Oscar contender, Emilia Perez’s, baffling critical success and now have released a more niche piece on the forgotten triumph, “Runaways”; a child-dominated Broadway musical from 1978 which tells the unique gritty tales of vastly different runaway children living on the streets of New York City.

I had the best time attending the BFI London Film Festival at Royal Festival Hall to see the premiere of legendary filmmaker, Mike Leigh’s, new film, Hard Truths.

And I got to take a photo with Mr Leigh himself on the red carpet!!!

My graduate film, Punk Mitzvah, was screened as part of the BAFP Graduate Showcase 2024 on Friday.

I am so proud of the film and the work we put into it to make it what it’s become. This is only the beginning of my journey as a filmmaker, as a writer-wherever my journey leads.
